Adventures in the City (Leila)

While they were driving along in the city, Leila thought about the offer Cailina made she pulled the woman's card out and twirled it in her fingers for a while thinking about whether or not she'd call. Finally she decided to and punched the numbers onto her phones screen and dialed her.

Phone rings and few seconds after
"Good evening?" was Cailina's voice.

"I am interested in following through on your offer. If you are busy tonight maybe we can schedule another time?"

Leila says confidently without a hint of deflection due to Cailina's tone.

"Yes, I'm busy up to midnight, then I'll have sometime off.

If you have time then I'll send Tony to pick you up, just be around The Bronx." she says

"Ok, see you later then."

Leila clicks off the line. She looked over for a moment to Leo and smiled while she dialed the insurance agents number. She looked out of the window while she waited without speaking to Leo for him to answer.

Bob picks the phone.
"Hello, good evening. Miss Laila?"

"Let me double check that this a minute..."

Leila muted off the line and finally spoke to Leo.

"The insurance agent wants to meet us in Central park at Gourmet Cafe in Wallstreet. Do you know where that is? Is it a safe place for me?"

She raised a brow and asked him before she replied back to Bob.

Leo says in his latin accent.
"I know how to get, not know nothing more."

Leila nodded and picked up the back to her ear.

"Sure, that sounds like a good place. I'll meet you there."

"I'm already there, I'm wearing a purple tie" he said.


Beautiful place that was still crowded this late. wify, tv, good coffee and sandwich among other foods. Really simple.

There he was, the man in the purple tie.

"Great, be there in just a bit."

Leila clicked off the line. Once they were at the indicated restaurant Leila got out of the car holding all of the documents he requested. She slipped inside, leaving Leo in the car and looked around for the man of the hour. Finally she spotted the man with the purple tie and walked on over to him with a confident stride.

"Good evening Bob."

She tapped him on the shoulder and smiled brilliantly. Awaiting what was soon to be his obvious appraisal of her.

Bob stood up politely, smiling
"Good evening Miss Laila!

I'm glad you could make it, please take a sit. Would you like something to drink? a coffee per haps?"

Leila took his offered seat and shook her head. Her eyes were engaging and calming while she waited for him to be re-seated.

"No, that will be quite alright thank you for the offer and for meeting me at such an inconvenient time. So what should we talk about first. Business or...?"

Leila raised her brow and smiled with a cheeky grin.

Bob sits back and says smiling.
"How is Mr Juarez? Is unusal of him to send something to take care of his car. Is he ok?"

Leila's lips flattened across her face when he mention Cross' condition. She shook her head lightly and made a light grunt in the back of her throat.

"No unfortunately he is not alright. He can barely move actually, that's why I am handling this for him. I don't know what kinds of business he deals with but something went bad. His car was not involved with any of that, I know that much. I have everything you asked for though..."

Leila handed him the car's papers, the permit Cross signed and retrieved her passport from her purse and placed it on the table.

Bob checks the documents spoting a few drips of blood on the paper. He takes out his tissue licks and cleans the paper the best he can, giving a certain look to Leila.
"Everything seems to be ok, I'll take Mr. Cross vehicule and this papers with me if that's ok. Please tell him to call me as soon as he can. I'd like to make sure that he's ok." he smiles to Leila.

Leila wondered about the look he gave her... did he know Cross was kindred? Or was he considering where the blood came from. She looked the paper's over oddly herself wondering why she hadn't spotted it while she held them in the car. She had a curious look on her face seeing him smudge it away. Her eyes looked to be a brilliant emerald green with specks of golden brown. She smiled and finally focused on him.

"I will have him call you as soon as I can dear. I'll be seeing him for just a bit before I have to head out to work. I believe I owe you a little something for making this possible for me..."

The man clean his throat with his fist over his mouth, and smiles.
"It would be rude to reject that offer from such a fine lady.

Thank you miss."

Leila tilted her chin down slowly approving his words. The thought of obtaining his blood began to consume her thoughts. Her smile grew into an almost wicked display of her perfect white teeth.

"Perhaps we should go somewhere a bit more private then."

She suggested without so much as a flicker. She thought of pleasing the beast and arousing her own darkness. Even though this man was no where near desirable for her. He would be an easy prey.
