Elysium is neutral ground for the vampires of a city. It is typically chosen by the local Prince in areas of artistic or intellectual worth that promote calm reflection, such as theaters and museums, though nightclubs and even a Kindred's haven may suffice. The Keeper of Elysium is responsible for everything that happens in their jurisdiction and for scheduling or canceling events, a position that involves both great prestige and scrutiny.

Violence is strictly prohibited within Elysium, and individuals are expected to keep tempers in check. Any grievances between vampires are to be left outside, and the Keeper of Elysium or the sheriff will forcibly remove those who cannot control themselves if need be. While this provides opportunity for both neonates and elders to relax, social conflict is often at its peak and what happens in Elysium can easily lead to repercussions off ground.

Though Elysiums often serve as gathering places for Kindred, the Masquerade must normally be maintained at all times for any mortals that may be around. Similarly, while refreshments are sometimes served, it is bad taste to come to Elysium hungry as it often leads to shorter tempers. Some Princes go so far as to forbid hunting nearby, as a concentrated population of vampires could easily result in a suspicious number of deaths in the area.

Rules of the Elysium:
  • 1.- No violence is permited on the premises. Neither will be tolerated violence in its suroundings.

  • 2.- No art is to be destroyed on pain of Final Death.

  • 3.- Elysium is neutral ground for those who are respectful to this rules.

  • 4.- Remember the Masquerade at all time. Hunting is forbidden in its suroundings.

Granite Elephant Elysium - Guggenheim Museum

Elysiums of New York City Guggenheim-new-york

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (often referred to as "The Guggenheim") is a well-known museum located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City, United States. It is the permanent home to a renowned collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern, and contemporary art and also features special exhibitions throughout the year. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, it is one of the 20th century's most important architectural landmarks.

The museum opened on October 21, 1959, and was the second museum opened by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. It recently underwent an extensive, three-year renovation.

Under the Guggenheim Museum lays another Manhattan Elysium, accessible only by a few elevators that pass by underneath deposits to the Elysium itself. Kept by one of the more powerful Malkavians of New York City it’s a place for inner search, meditation and introspection. As violence and arguing it’s forbidden in others Elysium as much as here, Jefferson Vanderweyden forbids noise and struggle.

Here you are welcome to study in the large Jefferson’s Library, play chess, read or anything else that could be done peacefully, even soft talks are allowed but any sign of noise will be treated by the Keeper as you were brought a gun inside the building.

Nature Elysium - American Museum of Natural History
Elysiums of New York City PUSH040d7348b900

The American Museum of Natural History (abbreviated as AMNH), located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City, United States, is one of the largest and most celebrated museums in the world. Located in park-like grounds across the street from Central Park, the Museum comprises 25 interconnected buildings that house 46 permanent exhibition halls, research laboratories, and its renowned library.
The collections contain over 32 million specimens, of which only a small fraction can be displayed at any given time. The Museum has a scientific staff of more than 200, and sponsors over 100 special field expeditions each year.

Beneath the surface of AMNH, right below the sewer system lays another Elysium. A Toreador Elysium by excellence where poetry, art and music can be enjoyed by all vampires in place. It has several Amphitheatres in it as many common rooms with many artistic exhibitions of conceptual art and sculpture.
Kept by the Mighty Toreador Alejandra Villalobos.
