Star was I'm very surprised to see this and her facial expression took on the look of great concern. This was yet another piece to a very large puzzle, and she was sure it all connected into one big picture that she couldn't see.

" How could this happen?... People don't just "vanish" ... A inside job perhaps?...
Could it be a retaliation from the warlocks?
Could this Vanishing be due to Magic?

From my understanding the warlocks control Dark Forces and otherworldly beings. Could they have tried to capture one component from each PoW to interrogate themselves for information?
They have already proven to be working against us.
Perhaps they have more installations than the building that was hit by the raid. New York is a huge state after all. And I doubt that the warlocks are stupid enough to put their eggs all in one basket.

I would certainly like to think that that was the case instead of believing that we have spies within our mist or that someone around here is working with them to bring about our end "

Star pondered in thought trying to link the puzzle together.

It is very unlikely that they escaped on their own. Not both of them at the same time... I'm going to bet money they may have been taken... ..
But by who and why?... could this really be a ploy by the sabbat or is it something else using it as a smoke screen?? Sabbat are usually way more flashy than this to have their people just vanish into thin air. They're more along the lines of doing as much damage on the way out as they can... This is... Sneaky... methodical even... definitely something more on the lines of the warlocks in my opinion.

Keep a eye out on missing persons reports.

I don't know if it has anything to do with what's going on right now with this piece of the puzzle. But it might play into it if the Sabbat are involved. And it's definitely a point of interest that should be brought up to Commander Jezebel. "

Tomorrow night I'm supposed to meet Prince Bright and some other members of the Clan's board to go though some kind of test to prove whether or not I really am a member of the clan since I can't trace back my lineage or sire.

I'm a little nervous to be honest... I'm not totally sure what the test is going to all be about, but I know the consequences if I fail the Prince can deem me nothing more than Catiff. If that happens I guess I'll be back to square one, but I'm pretty sure I'm a member of Clan Ventrue. So the test itself isn't really scaring me, it's more of meeting all these very powerful vampires Who could just destroy my life on a whim. "

Star stood and escorted her father down the hallway back to where she last saw Lord Valentine. If she passes has office she will check there first just so she won't have to double back.

My Lord, upon being rescued and placed in the care of the Gangrel I gave some valuable information to Lord Primogen Astor concerning the matter of the gangrels gate, and those I knew to be involved in the breach. Namely a man known as Matheus.

Recently some new information has came to light thanks to Lady Victoria and our conversion last night. I believe this new information about Matheus and his activities could lead to his possible whereabouts and capture. The information I'm sure
would be very useful too Commander Jezebel, Mistress of the Gangrels Gate, who is leading the investigation into the Sabbat affairs on this matter.

I would like to request to be excused from the viewing of Tonights Dual to seek her out and relay this information personally. I will of course be returning shortly after..... I... Um... Have a prier engagement tonight with the company of Mr.Lawless. "

"I appreciate your enthusiams Miss Garrison and certainly you'll be consider for this matter.

The Clan Ventrue has, however, its own structure and we're all team players. Each of us has an unique set of skills that are unvaluable for the organization as a whole and a set of weaknesses that we amend for each other as well.

Count Hayworth is in this City our Praetor for Sabbat affairs and not only that the Ephorate considers he is the most suitable kindred to take care of such affairs as he was also name Tribune. His experience on the matter is vast, he was the mastermind behind the siege of New York City almost a decade ago, purging the Sabbat from thy and in Europe he succesfully erradicated the Sabbat from three major cities, along with their plots and their schemes.

Now, I don't doubt your unique set of skills can be and will be advantageous for the investigation, the Gangrels, the City and the Princedom but wouldn't your skills be even more useful in the team of such a man as Count David Hayworth for example?

My advice in this regard is to always ask for a team, don't engage in any task as complex and dangerous as this without the help of the Clan. Hence your request is denied but I'll speak with Lord Hayworth to make a Coterie to attend such urgent matter, also I'll recommend you for that team and Mr. Lawless of course.

In the mean time I'll call Mistress Jezebelle to coordinate our efforts, and again Miss Garrison you're help is very appreciated. Thank you."

Valentine's natural charisma and soft manners made the speach even pleasant for Rebecca, his non verbal communication inspired her a sensation of trust and selfassurance that was very compelling. Even more she remembered that 'Ventrue stick together' and this was the other end of that same truth.

He made a pause.

Star smiled as things she wasn't aware of were brought to light. She was unaware of just how things worked with the Ventrue. But indeed if they truly were "team players" and worked together in such a way, this made her very happy to know.

Brian stood up and went to the office to talk to Lord Valentine.

The Gangrel insisted non verbally for Rebecca to enter with him and Valentine also without a word aprooved, rising his hand and holding the door open after Brian was already inside.

Valentine said.
"Sir Hell Song welcome back. Please forgive my lack of manner but I'm eager to go directly to the urgent topics that we have ahead. So please indulge me.

I'd like to offer the assistance of Count Hayworth to Mistress Jezebelle, would you be so kind to tell me a phone number where I can reach her at this moment?"

Brian tells the number baffed and assesting the inquiry.

Valentine on the phone to his assistant, asked him to call the given number and contact Commander Jezebelle. While the ghoul was at it Valentine said.
"I'm assembling a Coterie to investigate the Sabbat participation in this strange disapaerance. Per haps there's a conection between this and the simulatenous destruction of the Albany Chantry."

Brian nods as the ghoul calls back with Jezebelle on the phone.

Valentine again this time with Jezebelle.
"Commander Jezebelle, so nice to hear from you again.

I'm calling to offer the Clan Ventrue assistance regarding the possible Sabbat participation in the most recent events against the Camarilla. As you know Count Hayworth is the clan Ventrue's expert in Sabbat affairs and I'm assigning him personally to lead a Coterie to investigate in conjunction with those kindred chosen by you.

The objetive is simple to find the kindred usually known as Matheus and find the Sabbat participation in the most recent attacks against the Camarilla, such as: the vanished ghoul and the destruction of the Albany Chantry, among any other we do not know yet."

Short silence.

"Yes, that's a wonderful idea, please let me know what Primogen Astor thinks of this initiative. In the mean time I'll ask Count Hayworth to assemble his team and travel to New York City, per haps you could all meet at the Ivory Tower Elysium."

Short silence.

"Excelent. We have an agreement then. Have a good night."

Valentine looks back at his guests and says.
"Mistress Jezebelle will inform Primogen Astor of my initiative to stablish a coordination with the Tremere as well. I will talk with Count Hayworth after this meeting.

Very well, Sir Hell Song, are you ready for you duel?"

Brian smiles greatly and says.
"Yes Lord Valentine. I'm actually very excited to see what kind of challenge this is."

Valentine smiles and explains the details of the duel
"Final death of the contender is punishable by Destruction, all disciplines are allowed and the same weapons will be available for each of you.

There are two way of wining this duel surrender of your opponent or his unability to continue the fight.

The winner will have the right to bestow a Quest upon the defeated to redress his err. As the Joust will decide who was right in this dilema.

Do you have any questions?"

Brian confidently says no.

Valentine continues.
"Very well then, go dress your armor and suit up for the fight. I'm sure our Seneschal will be here in any minute and Mr. Brick is already set for the combat in his cell down in the dungeon."

Valentine stands up as well as Brian to leave the office.

Star was happy to see Lord Valentine so quick and willing to work with the Gangrel on the efforts to solve this issues and safe guard the city.
Hearing this truly gave her hope in the alliance between the Clans.

Star knew her father would not destroy Adam, only destroy his ego. And if the use of vampiric disciplines was allowed perhaps her father would give Adam a long lasting scar with his claws that would serve as a reminder to the Kindred of his intolerance and misbehavior towards the clan of Beasts. Star smiled smuggly at this thought. No doubt if Adam got a scar it would not be nearly as sexy as the ones that Lawless had, and would knock the Kindred down a peg who seems to Value his superficial looks above his honor.

Star bows to both the elders as they take they're leave and she follows suit.
But just before leaving her father so he could get ready, Star places a hand on her father's shoulder and kisses him on the cheek, softly whispering.

" Good luck daddy, I wish you all honorable victory. Remember I doubt Adam will fight fairly. Watch your back, and give that swine a nice long lasting mark as a reminder not to fuck with the Gangrel Hee-Hee "
