Castle of Dark Crimson Crystal (Lexi)

Lexi wandered around the door looking for a way to open it without success, then roamed a little more finding the butler several times but he immediately leaves her alone no matter what he's doing at that point.

An hour later Lexi hears the temperate door opening, from it Josef was coming from upstairs.

Lexi's visage illuminated on the sight of her Sire, her dead heart tumbled inside her chest with joy bowing to him immediately.

Josef nod in reply and said.
"Good evening Childe."

"Good evening sire. I would like to see my new haven please."

Josef smiled greatly at Lexi hearing how hard was for her to push that pledge out of her mouth.
"Oh childe, don't worry, you're in good hands.

I will tell you when we're ready to leave to see it. For now let's have a drink I am famished.

Please join me." he says

Lexi is left standing in front of the stairs, wishing to yell and release some of the pressure and anxiety but it was futile, she could not bare to disappoint him.

Josef starts to walk down the dinning room and called someone called Marcell. A few moments later the butler appears on the door but refuses to enter. Josef looks titled by the strange behavior and with a commanding voice he ask his servant to get him a drink but again the ghoul didn't move.
"My master, I am sorry to disobey you but I am compelled to act this way."

Josef stays in silence for a second waiting for an explanation.

I look him in the eyes and whisper "Disregard my last command."

Nothing happened.

"I was sitting for hours waiting for you. I thought something had happened. I thought I had to get upstairs. I'm sorry but, I dominated your butler. I'm sorry."

Josef smiled greatly then had a shot laugh given the uncomfortable situation Lexi was at.
"You cannot undo Domination like that, for starters your intended target must hear you and at this distance a whisper isn't enough... also that command 'disregard' sounds like one of those magic spells you love so much in the movies." he says.

He then considers the options and gets annoyed by the fact he hasn't gotten his drink yet. Obviously upset about it he says.
"Child your actions have deprived me of my sustain. Go to the basement and open the refrigerator there you will find a blood pack with my name on it. Bring it untainted or I will punish you."

Lexi stands to go right away but suddenly she realizes she doesn't know where the entrance to the basement is. Ashamed to return to his Sire presence without the blood pack her only option seemed to be working a way around the Dominate she compelled the ghoul with.

He was there standing at the other side of the room where her Sire and her were at the moment.

While Marcel didn't got close he started to help Lexi giving her indications of where the basement was for starters, asking her to leave when he needed to open the door and forth.

Eventually Lexi was able to get the blood back as instructed and fetch it back to Josef who had most pleased. Lexi served the pinch of blood on Josef's crystal cup and as a reward he stood up and went to Marcel to look to him into his eyes and say.
"You'll forget every command or instruction Lexi had gave you."

He came back to say.
"Right now you don't know everything about the human mind but eventually you'll even learn to manipulate their memory much like you do with their free will."

Josef asked her to remain in the kitchen and for her awe Marcel behaved normally. A few minutes later Josef came back with a folder containing several documents. Once he handed them to Lexi she could see the deeds of her new property to her name with a expenses relationship where Josef took the liberty to sell all her properties in Boston, buy for her in NYC along with the furniture and other expenses related to it. The remaining money was deposited in a new bank account at the JP Morgan, along with all the money she had left in her personal account back in Boston.

While she was checking these papers Oliver arrived and he went to pick up Lexi's luggage at her room to put it in the car again for her. Once everything was set Josef offered his arm to escort his Childe like the princess she was in his eyes.

The trip to New York was very exciting indeed. Lexi seemed calmed on the outside but the infinite opportunities this City had to offer simply dazzled her. As they got close to New York the usually dark sky suddenly started to get filled by the city lights, countless white and yellow sparks, along with blinking red lights on the top of the skyscrapers started to dominate the landscape.

Suddenly, she could sense the presence of an helicopter hovering and quickly retreating and ahead a few police cars were making a checkpoint stopping all incoming traffic, strange for these late hours.

When it was Josef's car turn, he ordered Oliver to lower all windows and collaborate fully with the authorities, he seemed rather nervous and fully willing to comply. A very strange agent, probably FBI by the look of him, came to the rear window where Josef was at, while the rest of the police explored the rest of the vehicle with flashlights.

The Agent said.
"Good evening Sir."

Josef replied politely.
"Victor, good evening. I'm glad to see you again, is there any problem?"

The sunglassed black raincoated agent nods and answers with a rather dry tone of voice.
"Yes sir, we are expecting some adventurers but don't worry, the Gate always gets'em."

The police finishes their job and Victor allows the pass to the Ventrue with a respectful treatment. When the car starts moving again Josef turns back still curious of the activity burst but right after comes to his usual demeanor.

A few more minutes of travel let the group arrived to Manhattan, the most exclusive borough of New York, leading down to the Hudson bay residential area. There Josef and Lexi started they way up while Brooke and Oliver took care of the luggage; he got her a penthouse fully furnished although nothing seemed really new although it did had everything, even some sort of dungeon: a secondary living room with the most basic dominatrix tools.

Lexi's heart jumped with joy seeing that everything was perfect that Josef had set all these for her and it wasn't even Christmas. She was so excited.

Josef sits comfortably on the living room while Oliver and Brooke go to leave Lexi's luggage at her bedroom. Rose was starting to appreciate many details, among them a particular smell of recently clean up that made her think this place was carefully cleaned through and through: she could not find a single moat of dust anywhere.

"Do you know what was with the police checkpoint? Is it anything to do with Kindred?"

Wellington nods.
"Victor is a Gangrel, one of the Gate Keepers, they serve the Mistress of the Gate: Jezebel.

The Gate is New York's security system, one of Prince Michael's greatest achievements. I don't bother myself with the technicalities but it covers from satellite surveillance to motion sensors around the city. The Princedom dedicated to this Project almost every Gangrels and everyone of the Caitiff, to the point of forbidding their Havens inside the City.

The Mistress gloats that no kindred can enter the City's perimeter unnoticed and so far she had delivered."

He entertains his thoughts for a few seconds and says.
"The Sabbat is the Princedom biggest threat but there are others...

Werewolves in Staten Island...

Shapeshifters in the sewers...

... and even the mages destroyed one of the Tremere Chantries back in Albany, making the Earth eating it whole. Can you imagine a magic so powerful that can make the earth devour an entire building?"

For Lexi this was all as amazing as discovering that vampires were real a year ago, she had no idea about werewolves, or mages or whatever else that roamed at night. It sound ludicrous, what was next? that ghost were real? ridiculous!

"I need to get the word out that I'm in new york. I figure getting in good with the Toreadors is the best way to make that happen. Do you know any Toreadors clubs that would be a good place to start?"

Josef nods once more and replies.
"There are some so called Racks in the vicinity of Manhattan, feel free to visit any of them but remember the Masquerade at all times. These places good to meet new friends and enemies, by all means be careful."

Then her Sire tells Lexi the addresses and general mood of the city Racks.

Afterwards he stands up and says.
"Very well Childe, I'll keep in touch. Also, when the Prince decides to receive you I'll let you know. Ta-ta"
