Vietnam War started on 1955 between South and North Vietnam. Each side was supported by a group of countries and organizations in some kind of international wrestling between two systems: communism and capitalism. For the capitalist supporting South Vietnam were: the: United States, South Korea, the Philippines, Australia, Thailand and other anti-communist allies; while North 'Nam was vouched by Soviet Union (USSR), China and other communist allies.

At first this conflict was purely between Vietnamese with many Black Flag Operations from each of the World Powers behind the schemes but eventually the supporting countries started to take a more protagonist profile with it's peek In March 1965, when President Johnson ordered U.S. Marine battalions to defend the American airbase at Da Nang, Vietnam. It marked the first time combat troops were inserted into the war. The escalation continued throughout 1965, and by the end of that year 200,000 American troops were in Vietnam until 1973 when the United States decided to back down.

During the US involvement in this conflict the Cold War took it's warmest point, just three years before at 1962 erupted the Missile Crisis in Cuba where both countries were at the brink of a nuclear showdown that could have erased most humans from the face of the earth.

Back then there was a purge across the United States of America, anything yellow was called 'Charlie' and the few Chinese and Japanese in the country were still brushing out major events of the not so far past, like the Japanese Attack to Pearl Harbor in 1941, just twenty four years before the US entries the Vietnam War. Actually the anti-asian sentiment was one of the most relevant motivations for young men to enlist and fight communists across Asia, in places like Korea in the 1950s.

In New York City a city section of Manhattan was called 'China Town' back in the 1800's when AH KEN a Cantonese Business man that founded a Cigar Shop in Park Row in 1850, eventually monopolizing the Cigar Trades between China and the United States, bringing more and more nationals of his to work and create their own enterprises becoming a beacon of sanctuary for all asians across the United States.

Until 1965 almost every Chinese immigrant was male, about 0.1% of their population was female and by Executive Act any American woman that married a Chinese man was to lose her nationality. Keeping their numbers low, under 1% of the total population of Manhattan but the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 changed that removing all restrictions and increasing the immigration flow greatly.

The constant immigration during that period pushed a xenophobic rage across New York as the Yellow Peril was more real with each passing day. The Chinese and Japanese came to America to steal jobs and lands from the Newyorkers unleashing a collective rejections that forced the Asians to stick together within the boundaries of their Chinatown for more than a decade. New York State authorities deported asian-americans on daily basis, sending them in boats back to China or Japan without even a Court's order with the claim of exiling communist sympathizers from the US.

Chinatown became a Sanctuary where no NYPD cop could enter, solving their own affairs with little to no involvement from the NYC authorities over that period. When NYPD patrols went in the streets would go empty in a matter of minutes, passing from busy to ghost town in the blink of an eye. There was a non aggression agreement between the City and Chinatown but sometimes it had to be reminded in blood.
