Under construction (Barton)

Barton's eyes went wide and he cringed slightly from the brutality of the attack. Barton shivered with both rage and a moment of fear. But it all faded as he gained his ground once more. Barton's eyes narrowed and he felt the burn of the claw marks on his skin. Barton had been clawed before, but this was a bit more painful. It was something that would have killed him surely if he had not been what he was, a Gangrel. As the harpy flew up into the air once more Barton growled loudly and reached behind him. His hands grasp the bark of the tree as he squeezed... He protruded his head forward and slowly let out series of small feral growls.

He grasp the bark fiercely, as if to let out his rage on the helpless tree. Barton glanced over quickly to the tree noticing the marks and then back to the harpy. He squeezed tighter as if to dig his nails into the tree, he thought of his next move... Dreaming that the tree was the monsters flesh, Barton lowered his jaw and arched his back as he went silent... All that was heard from him was a low rumble deep within his chest, the looked to the harpy.. Tilting his head... Barton let his head tilt further as he curled his upper lip, he attempted to pull off as much bark as he could in his own anger.

The beast drew first blood, the blow had awoken a fear in him. But this was not something a human could explain, no words could. Barton had felt every jolt in his body... Barton's eyes grew wide a moment and he let out his first brutal snarl... Few would call it human, it was a language unknown to Barton. Barton rolled his upper lip up and his lower down bearing his teeth as a wolf might in a fight. Barton was not aware of his life before this, only this moment mattered.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Barton's hair on his arms, neck and knuckles raised up and he dug his nails in deeper as he arched his back. His naked form, growing solid... His strong tendons growing like iron, before another cruel slander rose up to the Harpy. It was louder than the first and seemed to call out the Harpy, almost mocking it to be a coward. Barton's toes curled under his feet digging up the earth underneath them.

MRGRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

The creature posed again, this time over one of the trees branch, a solid big one, enough for its weight. Grasping it with her lower limbs it stood tall watching Barton, cold and distant.

Barton ripped chunks from the tree and branched out his arms. Blood dripped from his nails from the powerful grip and he crooned his neck to the side more, now tilted fully. Barton released the handfuls of bark and shard as well as he stepped from the tree. Barton hunched over lower and pressed his knuckles into the ground. Barton remained silent and glared up to the Harpy. His eyes narrowing as his tongue rolled over his lower lip.. His mouth still agape. Barton shifted his weight to the right and swung his right arm back, striking the tree. He then shook his shoulders and head brutally and arched back up his head. Barton slowly rose up as his bones cracked loudly, his body tense and rigid.

Barton puffed out his chest and brought his fists to his chest. He slammed them into his chest and branched them back out as his fingers spread. The tips bloodied and torn, curled and he took a quick step to the left and then the right. He moved from the tree a bit and continued to look at the Harpy. If there was a contest and if their was a question about his intentions he was making them clear... Barton's had changed and his face even looked more feral. Barton refused to speak English, he had forgotten how.

Barton's shoulders then slumped and he paced back and forth emitting a series of calls.... Loud, low and vicious....... Barton's pacing slowed and he tilted his head once more and lifted his right arm as if to point at the Harpy. Barton stood still and did not run away nor back down. Barton stared down the Harpy...

The creature lifted one it's powerful claws to grasp a branch over it's head and ripped it off tree. The size of the stick wasn't small, at least one of Barton's leg in diameter and as long as his chest. Looking at Barton who was growling underneath, it pointed at him with the stick and made a powerful roar, then it threw the branch piece to him with brutal strenght.

Barton attempted to dodge the heavy object. A feral growl escaped his lips as he made his move.

Barton barely moved, calculating with perfect timing the movement from the spining branch thrown at him. He barely ducked and the branch passed by caresing his skin, milimeters away from disaster.

The creature showed surprise looking at Barton's sharp movements. Then it roared at him! defying!

Barton looked to the Harpy as a loud crash followed behind him. Barton simply stared at the creature, his expression had not changed. He had hardly flinched at the display of the Harpy, just enough to dodge the falling timber. Barton pivoted his body slightly and moved back stepping over the freshly fallen timber. Barton looked down to it and then back to the Harpy.

His head slowly shook and he placed one foot on the fallen timber and applied his weight on that same foot. His foot could be heard scraping over the touch bark as he hunched over, his right elbow resting on his thigh. His back arched so he continued to look at the harpy. His gaze cold but his actions were less intense and brutal. His posture seemed to say,

"Are you finished....."


Barton still however remained ready, he had positioned himself behind the timber. He moved himself out of the way so he would not trip over it just in case.

The harpy stood still for a few more seconds then it jumped up and used the impulse to start flying again, this time away from Barton. It seemed beated and like a victory for the Gangrel.

Barton was alert, even if this opponent had left another will be taking his place very soon. However what he didn't expected was to see the same harpy once more, gliding silently through the shadows of the nighty forest. By the time Barton was able to see it she was already upon him, ready to attack, still it wasn't too late to avoid the creature.

Barton snarled and took the attack, as the beast came down he prepared himself.

He snarled,

"At least you found the strength to stop perching. 'Bout time you did somethin'"


Barton muttered this as the beast came down to earth.

Barton felt runover by a truck the strong legs of the creature grappled him firmly, grabbing his both arms before he could roll the creature against the ground. A second after he was in the air a ten feets off the ground, right away the creature used the impulse and speed it had to let Barton go against one of the closest trees.

Barton was thrown, spining and tumbling and then a big bump against the tree body!

Barton closed his eyes and groaned as he took the hit. Barton remained silent and heard nothing as he flew to the trunk of the tree. As he hit he opened his eyes. His jaw lowered, upon the hard strike.

"If you are going to pride yourself on anything.. "


Barton snarled as he pushed himself up out of the foliage, his body bruised but not broken. He hurt but he had been through worse... Barton arched his head up and replied once more in a voice a bit more humane.

"Are you listening? Pride yourself on wasting your time. Destruction, let us end it.... I'm tired of your games. Either you want to do it or hide. I am not hiding nor perching. You hide and can't make up your mind. Or can you? Destruction... I will remember this..."


Barton did the next best thing and attempted to piss on the area around him. Barton did not know why he tried but it was a start. But he was naked and it just felt right. He made an attempt out of pure spite.

This time Barton's keen senses were able to detect the soft sound of the harpy's wings cutting the wind. It was dark the creature's bat-like apparance with almost black skin made it almost impossible to distinguish from the background, still he was able to turn at it at the exact moment.

Barton saw the harpy's claws upon him, almost touching him. She will be trying the same act, grabbing him and again against the tree. What for? that had proven to be useless.

Barton whipped around spotting the Harpy coming down on him and he tensed up his legs. Using the power from his hips to meet the force of the Harpy, he put his best foot forward literally. His leg rose up and the tendons flared up under the thin pale skin. The ligaments of his inner thigh pulsed as he turned, throwing his foot into the oncoming beast. A low roar came from his lips as he attempted to drive the foot through the face of the Harpy. Barton had remained silent post ambush; Barton was looking to add extra pain to the Harpy. Barton hoped to meet the face of the beast with a kiss from his hard heel. Barton also reacted on instinct, this time having more time to react.

Barton felt a surge of power fill him as he ground his teeth together, looking to the beast as his foot raised to meet the face of the creature.
