Savage Mayhem (Star)

The setting was complete, the initial rituals with Randolph cortege comming inside along drums of war and trumpets of victory announcing his entrance with his Childe and in front of the retinue a huge banner that was finally placed on Brick's corner. Brian was wearing a black iron full plate armor, the face mask open with a remarkable visage of dignity and bravery.

Brian came in second, Lord Valentine and two ghouls were with him as godfather representing him, he went right to his corner dressed with a black cloak covering his armor, only showing raiding boots under it. Lord Valentine went to his Throne and shaked hands with Lord William to both be sitted.

Then Brian asked  one of the ghouls for something, which was rapidly approved by Count Hayworth although he seemed confused by the Gangrel's request.

The contestants were ready to start the fight, each in one corner of the huge concrete square that Count Hayworth had prepared. The Coat of Arms banner of Randolphs vampiric lineage was behind Adam's corner.


Brian had a surprise something he hard under his sleeve by Primogen Astor's secret advice. Unfolding a cloth he brought with him in his bag. Hanging it in a pole served by the Chess Club.


This display let everyone even his daughter astonished and silently. Then he removed his black cloack revealing a chainmail over a black and green full body clothing, covered with a black banner on his chest with the same heraldic. He went one step ahead and howled with red shining eyes, fully grown fangs then stomping the floor to intimidate his foe.

Brian's howl was bone chilling, most of the public with the exception of Randolph Sr, Valentine and Count Hayworth showed alot of concern about this duel. Lawless was sitting next to Rebecca and he moved in his chair uncomfortable, the aura of power and savagery was overwhelming.

Next to the Seneschal were Nathan and Jennie, with Valentine were a man and a woman that Rebecca had never seen before, specially the Lady was wearing an exagerated white outfit somehow similar to a bride but in a grotesque and dark allure on it. Count Hayworth was the Master of Ceremony at the center of the concrete square. Surprisingly enough Valerie wasn't to be found around the place, neither was Lady Victoria.

Aside from the ten kindred present were at least twice that amount in ghouls from from both parties.

Count Hayworth yelled.
"My Lord Valentine Gioberti, My Lord William Randolph. All Lord and Ladies present, Kindreds of Clan Ventrue.

We have gather tonight to witness a tradition that's also a remainder of better times when Honour and Chivalry was the proper way to solve difference between those in conflict.

I, Count David Hayworth come before you to present the contestants. Mr. Adam Brick from Clan Ventrue was challenged by Sir Brian 'Hell Song' Garrison for a matter of honour. The joust will decide if the challenger claimings are true in fair combat. Let the righteous be bless by our God, the God of our Sires and Lord of Heavens.

Knights pick up your weapons..."

While the combatants went to their racks to pick their weapons, Lord Randolph was whispering to Nathan his son in dissaproval of Brian's coat of arms. Even more he seemed offended by the warcry and this mockery of a duel between a true knight and a beast.

Lord Valentine was calmed looking down.

Brian's warcry deeply affected Adam, he flinched when the Gangrel made his Display and was even more concern now that he was growing a red claw in one hand. Rebecca remembered this tactic, pure intimidation.

Brick picked up a long sword and a shield, while Brian just took a short sword. Both went to the center of the square upon the Count summoning. He made the formal presentations and Adam started to swing his sword making different shapes in the air, finishing with a shield bash and a shout.

Brian on his presentation placed his claw down in the floor to stand on it, lifting his entire body as a spear in the air. Taking a little jump just to make a swirl twist making two thrusts with his sword in mid air, one kick and one claw swipe before landing dramatically. Even Count Hayworth was impressed.

Brian whispered something with a feral smile on his face. Making Adam even more nervous.

Brian runs back again focusing all his will to meditate, to calmly let the fear to pass but the Presence was almost to great to resist. He was barely standing and ready to fight.



The Gangrel's plan had finally worked, he needed to reach his foe's skin to touch him directly in order to cast his spell and the shield or the full plate armor were in his way. Of course he could have used his protean claw but that would risk killing the stupid Ventrue and that risk was just too high.

Brian's touch started to burn Adam's heart with rage, his beast a feared enemy by the Ventrue came to claim control over his body, caughting the Ventrue off guard as he had all his will focused on the Gangrel's demise.

Brian held his ground meditating and calming his heart, attuning with his Beast to keep a strong hold of his emotions and reactions.

Meanwhile Adam was holding his long sword precariously with one hand and with his other took out the chest plate of his armor expousing his naked chest and his torned black shirt to the Nobility in the steps and Thrones. As the chest plate was falling to the ground Adam pounced forward holding his weapon with both hands looking to smash its steel against the Gangrel's body.

Suddenly Brian smiled as his skin started to look pale, gray and stonelike. Starting to shine like marble, even his face and eyes turned to a quartz like rock. The Ventrue swung his long sword to hit Brian's face impacting it with fierceful rage and for the surprise of many in the chamber the blade shattered in a millon pieces.

The Gangrel finally got rid of the effects of the Dreaful Gaze and kicked the Ventrue making him fall on his face as he got unbalanced while swinging his sword. Adam started to smash the floor with his fists and kick the dirty while roaring and screaming like a maniac, standing shortly after to attack Brian in delirium.

All presents were awed by the Gangrel's power display and the Ventrue's lack of Self-Control. Brian swiftly and easily striked each of Adam's legs with his claw, making him fall and drag around in pursuit of the Gangrel at a pathetical speed. Eventually the two got to the Ventrue's corner and Brian pulled his banner wooden pole from the ground and jumping on the Ventrue pierced through him by his back, nailing him to the ground and staking him at the same time.

The Ventrue banner was slightly sided and the bottom end of the pole full tainted with blood.

Brian went to the center of the arena and kneeled before the Thrones and waited for their final decision.

Lord Valentine stood up and started to clap, at slow pace and as those with him joined the cheer, the pace increased steady until it turn into an standing ovation. Even the Seneschal still sitting lifted his arm with his thumb up accepting his Childe defeat.

Count Hayworth came next to Hell Song and help him up rising his right hand in sign of victory.
