Terminal Market in The Bronx 20041104032aw

Brian parked his pickup truck in a place so dark, so dirty and so dangerous that no wise man should even be walking at this hour in the night. Confidently Brian got out of the car and said.
"Well we're at the mall. Let's find you something to wear Becca dear."

Becca looked around. It was pretty much a good spot to buy anything, not legally, probably someone belonging to someone already dead and had this feeling of 'home sweet home' for her that didn't seemed like the place where his daddy would bring his daughter at all.

People around this place were clustered in packs, smoking cigarrettes and some trying to find some heat in the heat of the group if not some barrel was in fire between them. There were several groups, the largest of four to five, the rest couples of two men or women, no prostitutes around.

Brian started to walk around the building.

Star gave her father and odd look as they pulled into this place. This definitely did not seem like a place he would hang out. In actuality this place seems like the type of place he would warn her never to visit and she got a slight chuckle at wondering to herself if her father could handle the type of people around this area.

She followed suit getting out of the car, indeed this was quite a rough place. She couldn't help but wonder if this would be a good place to get supplies for her "personal" business. She paused and took a moment to size up the type of crowd around this area. She saw the people clustered together smoking cigarettes and she had this strange tug to wander over to them and see if she could bum a smoke. But then she realized she looks kind of like she had been in a firefight and somebody would probably start to ask too many questions she didn't want to answer at the moment especially from some common blood bags.

▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
" So... This is the Mall?...  Dad, this place looks like a place "someone" would pick up drugs for a drop... ...  ....  "
She said as she started to think maybe her father wasn't completely the "goody-to-shu " he originally thought. <What has he been up to since he become a vamp> she thought

▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
" You know dad, I don't mind if we just raid a clothing donation drop box at a local church's parking lot or the local good will.
Not like i havent had to do it before... Never know what you will find in those things..
Once I found a homeless guy using it as his apartment.. Nice guy though... Bit strange. "

She shook her head and smiled at her father

The Gangrel stood out of car for a moment, he was waiting for something. Seconds later a black man, rough about his fortis came down to the couple of vampire just standing in front of the pickup truck. This guy said.
"What's cracki'n chief?"

Brian answered.
"Not much, just waiting for Venom is she around?"

The idler flinched on hearing that name and walked away suprised, like someone mentioned the devil.
"Oh... oh... I don't know. I don't want any trouble..."

Brian smiled at the terrified man as he walked down to an small group and commented something. The three guys stared at Brian and Becca. The situation had changed, there was tension in the ambient and people started to get nervous as some got in and out of the shadows, keeping their distance from the couple.

Few minutes later a white male, no shirt, white but not caucassian and high as a basketball player came down from a corner near by. He had his body covered in tattoos like some central american gang member.

The man did some sort of ritual salutation gang member style. Rising his fingers in a strange way and moving them aroun his face and torso.

OOC: Gangs hand signs:

"Brass N' fire ma broth-a Beast."

Star picked up on the tension in the air, she couldn't help but crack a smile at how afraid these mortals were of simply hearing a name being brought up in the night air. It reminded her of Verman, leader of her pack. Indeed that man carried Aura of unease about him wherever he went and rightly so.
Star could not help but wonder what type of people her father had been involved with.
▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
" well damn dad, I think you scared them... Hee-Hee. From their reaction you would think that you hung-out with my friends. "
She said with a bit of a laugh, I'm trying to break the tension in the air.

She stood silently next to her father, almost in a military stance, almost protective with an air of intimidation about her. She found herself doing this not consciously, it was just more of natural or reflective manner that she held herself in . Back straight up, feet apart about 1 foot and her hands resting in her palms behind her back. Her head was alert and attentive to her surroundings.
She was hardly relaxed but anticipating any trouble to come.

As the man approached of what she can only assume what's some local gang member, she eyed him, and silently sized him up.  Taking into consideration his features, his stature, his mannerisms, and movements. Even to the point of wondering what drugs he might use, and how many others he might be associated with in his pack.
Though then she remembered that the Camarilla don't have packs, but that doesn't mean that they're any less dangerous then the vampire she's used to.

Brass N' fire ma broth-a Beast."
Star did not break her stature, though she did turn and look at her father raising an eyebrow.
< And you disapprove of my friends ha>
She thought silently. < Associated with gang members? Oh Father what have you been up to since you left? >
She couldn't help but Wonder those because these looked like the type of people that she deals with on a normal basis when she is out selling drugs.

Brian responded to the gang code signs and said.
"She is my cub, beast anointed and blessed in brass-forged in fire. No one touches her or else Hell Songs be chanted in thee funeral."

The cursed man said to Rebecca.
"Yo' blood be blessed cub o' Hell Song. Yo'nid ar' ma' nids."

Then back to Brian.
"Venom ain't da hous' broth a-beast. She ai screwin' som' fuckers. Watcha nid?"

Brian.
"Clothes and gear. Show us the way."

The gangsta started walking to a near by building with several closed steel sliding doors. Meanwhile, he was talking to Brian, complaining about some attacks in the last days, something about some big fucking dogs eating pipes and steel barrels.

Eventually they got to the other side of the building where many other gang members were trading stuff, from watches to low quality cocaine. They made holes in the wall at the other side of the building and had some kind of improvised shops, even some guns offers but not as many and definetely not powerful enough for a good job.

She is my cub, beast anointed and blessed in brass-forged in fire. No one touches her or else Hell Songs be chanted in thee funeral

Star raise another eyebrow looking at her father when he called her "cub". She doesn't quite like that word, it made her feel like a pet or some kind of animal. To which she does not consider herself to be.

She couldn't help but look at her father and think back to the gangrels of the Sabbat she has seen, resembling more of feral animals and beasts than actually men. Then she thought about the Primagen and how his features were very animal-like, she couldn't help but wonder if her own father would be facing that same fate one day. One day she might look at him and he will no longer resemble anything close to Human. She quickly closed her eyes and shook that notion from her head. If she thought about it for too long it would bring about emotions of sadness that she couldn't afford to feel right now.
The gang speak also threw her off of it... But she knew better than to be rude, so she maintained her silence And let the two men speak. She only acknowledged the man's words when he spoke to her with a simple head nod.

Star remain silent but she took particular note of their setup. Thoughts and ideas of how they could actually improve their business ran through her head. Drug dealing and smuggling items after all was something that she was good at. But still it was not her place to say anything. She just took inventory of what they had, and wondered how her father was associated with these people. Clearly he was not the upstanding citizen that she had originally thought him to be. He seemed more in line with her line of work then she would like to admit to herself.

She took particular note of the drugs, wondering about their quality. She thought that they were probably low grade, only good for a few quick bumps and  probably too dangerous for repeat customers... at least long-term. If you want to keep the money coming in, you want to take care of your customers and make sure that they don't die from a single dose.

She thought though that she should make a mental note of this place. It could come in very handy to know these type of people in the future. Especially if she was planning on sticking around this city.

Star took a moment to familiarize herself with the surroundings. She made a beeline for the most important thing right now...clothing.
She was a mess, and she knew it. Her clothing was tattered and full of bullet holes. Her hair was probably a mess and she didn't want to think about what her makeup look like.
▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
" god I need to clean up."
She Mumble to herself and immediately went to find some sort of clothing. She didn't care too much about what she was looking for. She was going to be hanging out in a freaking Zoo after all she thought.
She was just looking for something to blend in. Jeans, a black band t-shirt and a jacket with pockets would be preferable. She kicked her boots against the ground checking her heals to see if that they were still holding together alright or she would have to find a replacement for that as well.
She also tried to look for some monetary care products such as a hairbrush, pocket mirror,  things of that like. Though she doubted very much she would find those items here.

She also look for weapons, brass knuckles  preferable and a boot knife. she checked some of the smaller guns. But figured they might get her in trouble in New York. She already had quite a record. Last thing she wanted to do was get arrested And have to kill a cop. <That would make daddy really proud now wouldn't it.> She said to herself in a sarcastic way ,shaking her head

When she found what she was looking for she motioned for father.

Black pair of jeans, same color jacket, T-shirt and some boots. All of her size and apparently new. Other than that she found two brass knuckles, a boot knife and .38 revolver with one box of ammo (50 bullets).

The economy of the place was at least interesting. Few customers, buyers and sellers coming to the same place, looking for stuff to exchange, to sell or buy. There were several "strange" bussines like a farmacy selling all kinds of sedatives and other medicines: antibiotics, painkillers and so on. Most of the shops, however were full of CD piracy of both music and movies, as well as clothes for every taste, nothing fancy.

The gangsta agreed to pay for everything they were getting from the place. Brian thanks him and started to leave the place.

For Rebecca, places like this were uncommon even for someone as street wise as her. Albany was very different than NYC, simply there were no black market malls or anything as fancy as this place. Another unusual was to have salvatrucha-level gangster, all over NY state were gangs here and there but organized crimen with open homicidal brands tattooed over their bodies was simply another level.

Rebecca graduated from highschool, this was the fucking university.

Star really like this place, for all the Shady dealings it made her feel slightly comfortable in a way that she couldn't quite describe. It was a mix of being around very dangerous people and an industry that she knew about. Buying and selling illicit products and illegal activities. She did try to hold her excitement back from this place from her father. She truly didn't want him thinking that she was some sort of hoodlum or Criminal. Even if she was to a certain extent. Her father's opinion of her was something that deeply mattered. She knew that she would never be able to live up to his expectations. She would never be able to be "the good girl" he had wanted for her to be in life. In this un-life... She honestly had no idea what he expected of her. But at least she thought she was on the right track by leaving the Sabbat.

She snatched up a CD player. A large pack of batteries, headphones and some pre-mixed Rock CDs on the way out. Giving her father that puppy dog look as if to say " please I want those too. " she figured she was going to need something to occupy her time at the zoo when she wasn't training.

"  So... Dad.. this is quite an interesting place.... I think i like it.

Say do you think that ... Umm if ... I don't know...
I came across some "items" that fell off the back of a truck,  I could make a hot dime here doing a flip??

I mean not that I would steal, or rob anyone of course oh heavens no.... Just ... Um.. something like that fell into my lap .... I mean hypothetically"

she said with a bit of a playful lie, completely knowing full well she would totally rob the back of a truck to get anything that she wanted

Rebecca had everything she wanted from the stuff she found in the black market bazaar and thinking about the possibilities of starting her own bussines in NYC, now that she was Brian's protegee or even better Clan Gangrel. Meanwhile, Brian was dead serious, Becca's comments didn't broke the ice at all.

For a few seconds there was silence, very unconfortable. Rebecca hide her head for a minute or so, thinking that her white lies were bothering her father and he was thinking about the lecture and scold he was about to deliver but silence was a little too long and Rebecca rose her head to find his father trying to hold his laugh back, biting his lower lip but still a tip of a smile showed in the border of his mouth.

Without turning his head, her father looked at Becca to see if she was staring at him. When he noticed that she was staring with a W.T.F. look in her eyes, confused and trying to figure out if he had gone crazy, he inmediately turned his eyes to the front trying to look oblivious and casual like he actually fooled Rebecca into thinking he didn't looked at her.

Suddenly without warning and against every possible action that Brian could have taken, he charged against her with swift movement, holding her by her hips and lifting her body in the air, pressuring his bearded chin against her stomach, opening and closing his maw rapidly, as he used to do to make her scream by the tickles.

Rebecca didn't felt the tickles physically but her memory of this scene was so real that she started laughing just by reviving those happy moments.

Star was startled and confused at first. She was hoping she didn't say something wrong. And she froze a little when he grabbed her.
As the memories of her childhood washed over her from his gesture, she started to smile and laugh.
▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
"daddy.. Hee-Hee ha ha stop.. Ha ha "I'm not a little kid ha ha ha
She was happy, it seemed she hadn't smiled quite so much in a long time. She was overjoyed to be with her father again. He wasn't quite as she remembered him, he actually seemed better.  In her eyes it seems that the sorrows of her father's  life he had put behind him and completely embraced something new , all the while holding on to the good memories of the past. This is something that she wanted to do as well.

Star hugged her father, and in the small moment everything seemed right in the world. She was truly happy.

▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
" god daddy, you had me worried..
Hee-Hee..
I love ya dad, and you know your opinion of me matters more than anybody else... Right?...
I just want to do good by you... "

She said happily, and gave him a warm smile.

▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
"  so I'm taking it you grew into quite a badass since you became a Cainite. Hee-Hee "
She said with some joking laughter as she kind of put up her fists up in a mock boxing stance , dancing around playfully and pretending to throw a punch into the air towards him.
▂▂▂▂▂▂STAR▂▂▂▂▂▂
" so what else don't I know about you.. Hee-Hee "
She said happily as they walked back to his truck
