One more night (Ahsad)

In the darkness of her room Ahsad recovers conciouness slowly, she starts to feel her body and finally awakes from the day slumber, feeling the heavy sun fading away.

She sat up.
{Just why did that ..wraith.. come to me and not the others? Sometimes I wish Charleston was here.}
She sighs and dresses.
{How can I help Fingers and not upset him?}
She contemplates these issues.

Ahsad thoughts were disturbing, many things came to her mind about wraiths and death, she could not understand most of events in her unlife, how she was able to make herself invisible in front of others? even people she wasn't aware to be there watching her, how could she hipnotized them? how her gifts really worked? These were just a few of the questions in her mind that until now were under the veil of mistery.

Was she really dead? how could a dead body survive just by consuming blood?

She did not know...

Choosing to focus on what she did know for the moment, she looked through her paperwork to see what was time sensitive and address that first.
she set her alarm to remind her to call fingers to confirm about meeting.

Ahsad remembered that she was supoused to get Fingers call about the meeting not all the way around since he was thinking to confirm or not. What was told is that if Ahsad finds a way to be useful to the mision for her to give him a call.

She abruptly calls Charlestons man.

"Good evening. This is Dr. Patel. Please get my sire on the phone. I'll wait."
her tone doesn't seem to brook arguement. she could care less he doesn't like the phone, if she had to adapt, damn it he can too. she needs him.

The phone rings and rings, few seconds after someone picks up.
"Your Sire? How could I reach him? He is more than a day away. You know that Ahsad"

"You always say that. A day away ..how? by walking, by boat ,by car by helicopter? I need him and he is a day away..why doesn't he invest in a damn cell phone?"
.."I'm sorry ,this isnt your fault..but I am frustrated."

"Of course.."
She calms
"You are right. But I am in over my head here and need his guidance. Please have him come to me here in New York, come too if need be. The sooner the better. the address is _. The back entrance is best. Avoid video cameras."

"Please ask him to come then. And as for how dare I ..I was the one wrenched from the wheel of reincarnation on my deathbed and who is now forced to survive on other living creatures when I was a vegitarian, that's how I dare. Ask meagain later if you become a walking corpse and see how you feel then! Just do your job!"
She hangs up.

Upset and alone in her lab again Ahsad faces the inner struggle again.

"Damn it, why does everything have to be so complicated?!"
She exclaims putting her head down on her arms on a table.
