I usually do scenes from the Past that I call 'Flashbacks' these are experiences of your characters that happened some time ago, that will impact your present situation.

Everything that happens in your flashback is real, every NPC you meet, everything you go through is relevant for your character and will be taken into account in further scenes and roleplay, so don't underestimate their importance.

However, it is a past seeming of your character, many if not all points in your character sheet (if you even have one) are irrelevant during a Flashback, if a roll is necessary the ST will tell how much points you have at that roll that will become a minimum value for the traits involved. Hence, if you think your character should have less dice in that roll make sure to point it out, because your character sheet may be altered to suit the things going on there.

Also is very important to mention any ability you think your character should have but isn't included for the ST to take in consideration before continuing with it.

The objective of these scenes is to add deepness to your character past and help the players to 'get a grip' on your character's roleplay before starting the actual game. Many are optional but some will be ask by the ST at some point.
