Queen Mab of House Fiona is a fairy referred to in William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, where "she is the fairies' midwife." Later, she appears in other poetry and literature, and in various guises in drama and cinema. In the play, her activity is described in a famous speech by Mercutio written originally in prose and often adapted into iambic pentameter, in which she is described as a miniature creature who performs midnight pranks upon sleepers. Being driven by a team of atomies, she rides her chariot over their noses and "delivers the fancies of sleeping men." She is also described as a midwife to help sleepers "give birth" to their dreams.

That's the Queen of the Apples a territory that includes the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island) as well as the upper Mid-Atlantic states (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware). She's also the King's mother and his Keeper, protecting the territory where the King David Alfry has his Haven and those so with fierce efficiency.

Her seat of governance is at Caer Palisades in the summer, and Caer Loon (in New York City) in the winter.

Caer Palisades is in Cliffside Park, New Jersey: The royal thronehold of Queen Mab can be found where once stood a vast center of Glamour and entertainment.   Caer Palisades appears as a modern castle, whose chimerical aspect merely adds a touch of color to the already imposing image.  Once, the hold's greater splendor was portrayed by the amusement park that once stood near its grounds.  Now, this shadow of a grander castle remains.

Duchies of the Kingdom:

  • Duchy of the Golden Sigil (New York state, including New York City), ruled by the commoner Duke Kelodin
  • Duchy of Gardens (New Jersey)
  • Duchy of Maples (Vermont)
  • Duchy of Pewter (Massachussettes)
  • Commonwealth of Hope's Boundary (Connecticut)
  • Duchy of Fairwinds (Delaware)
  • Duchy of Freewill (New Hampshire)
  • Duchy of Stone Coast (Maine)
  • Duchy of Liberty’s Heart (Pennsylvania)
  • Duchy of Sails (Rhode Island)

Duchy of the Golden Sigil (Duke Kelodin)
Named after the document written in golden ink, given to the Duke Kelodin when he was elected Duke. The Ducal thronehold is called Wyntersnow, located in the city of Buffalo, New York. The Troll grump is one of the most recognizable Ennobled Commoners in the Kingdom of Concordia as the Duchy is the largest in the Kingdom of Apples and he remains on good terms with both the Queen of Apples and High King.

Kelodin maintains a secondary freehold in Manhattan. It comes as no surprise that Duke Kelodin’s main support comes from the Commoners of his Duchy. The greatest threat to his power comes from Count Maldiset ap Dougal who believes that a Gwydion should rule instead of a Commoner. As a land split by factions, Duke Kelodin has his work cut out for him should the violence that is threatening to rear its head begin.
