The Second Sundering and Shattering
Changeling are Faeries, creatures born out of glamour, the energy of dreams, that incarnated into baby humans upon their birth. These Changelings have many forms, some say they were forge in the forms of humanity's dreams, others that on the contrary faeries inspired the dreams that survive even today. Nevertheless, Faeries exist in as various forms as there are dreams.
In America, before the arrival of Colombus, the Gallain spiritual beings in an animist believe of the native Americans, where each of them represents an element from nature, ruled the dreams of humanity. They were most numerous in the early days of the civilization of America but after the arrival of the Europeans most of them were erased into oblivion taking a minority profile, usually living in the Far Dreaming and many other further away during the second Sundering, an extension of the first caused by he disappearance of the true dreamers, sons and daughters of Adam and Eve, back in Europe.
This time, the Conquerors ripped from their roots the Dream speakers and Dream walkers, among the native tribes across America, substituting them for Religion and Technology. After The Second Sundering only the Changelings that came from Europe prevailed, as they have already adapted to a world full of Banality, that forced the rest of the Faeries into the deepest layers of the Dreaming, destroying their bridges with the World of Banality by closing Trodes and erasing Silver Paths, as an subsequent consequence called 'The Second Shattering."
The Kithain of the European Seasons Myth and Dreams rule two Courts Light and Darkness, according to the seasons. Light (Seelie) rule during Spring and Summer, while Darkness (Unseelie) governs during Autumn and Winter, making a switch during the Samhaim (End of the Harvest Season) at Octuber 31st, that date later inspired the celebration known as Halloween where longest nights and colder days start.
