Monster House (Leila)

Stein was standing by the window near of Pillar who was there just having a cool chat from a sit.


"Good evening" he said with his ground dark deep voice.

Leila smiled sheepishly, trying not to look intimidated.

"I'm not sure if you remember me or not. I'm Leila, Tantra's childe... We met last week."

Stein nods.
"Of course...

You were under Samuel's protection that night. I remember" short in his words but still it didn't seemed like he was torpedoing the conversation.

Leila nodded and tucked some of her hair behind her ears. She was at a loss for what to say next. She felt like she was standing in front of her boyfriends father, the most ruthless warrior in the entire town and that she had to fess up to fucking his son. Of course she wasn't and surely he'd seen it all and really it wasn't like he was his son. The whole business still made her uncomfortable.

"That was an interesting night for me... So are you enjoying the party?"

He smiles

... and says.
"Yes of course, we have had nice espectacules so far, I wander what is comming next...

I'd ask you the same but seems obvious that you're having a good time so far.

Do you live one moment at a time? or per haps you have plans for the comming nights "

Yup he saw them. The girl would have turned beet red if she'd had any blood left circulating through her. She chuckled and shook her head looking at the ground and then back up to Pillar and then Stein.

"I guess you could say I live for the moment..."

She smiled brightly recalling the moment she knew she'd had to have Cross. She'd begun to wonder with Steins questions what his intentions were.

I've got to get some affairs in order, but I don't really have much going on yet. Why do you ask?"

He continues smiling and says.
"It's a fair question I believe...

You have been asking what's everybodies bussiness around New York, now that I have the chance I want to ask you the same thing for two reasons actually, first to know I can count on you as much as you can trust we will help you in our field of expertise... and the other to know with who I'm dealing with..." his expression change during the formulation of his phrase from the smiling demon to a serious shit demon at the end.

Leila's expression changed as well, her smile turned from being upbeat and flirtatious to being more business like and cordial. She thought for a long time before answering his question, clearly trying to think of what would be appropriate to tell him.

"Well, I will tell you this Stein. I am a loyal follower. I intend to orchestrate and further our clans goals by whatever means are available to me. I first plan to learn as much as I can from my brothers and sisters. Samuel and Tantra have already given me a number of invaluable lessons, as have a few others including yourself. Tantra and Elie both believe that I could learn a great deal from you. Eventually I would like to be able to be used by the clan as an infiltrator or even a silent weapon. That may be quite a while from now however. Still I'd like to know what we are dealing with in the city at large. I know I was not embraced just because I am beautiful, I am here to serve a purpose."

He smiles again.
"Wow... wow... strong words for a youngling like yourself. Excellent response." he giggles like the malefic himself and opens his suit to take a card out of it. White thread paper ornated with gold and silk.

"This is my card, call me tomorrow and we'll see what kind of purpose you have with me"

Leila took his card and slipped it into purse.

"Thank you. I look forward to talking with you tomorrow. It's been an eventful night already. I hope you boys enjoy what is left of the evening. Pillar, it was so nice to meet you as well. Oh, was that pat you gave Cross some kind of symbol or bet?"

Her brow raised inquisitively at her question.

Pillar smiles with his polite expression and replies as a gentleman.
"Of course not, it was just a symbol of my appreciation" he smiles and Stein does too.

"Shall we Pillar. Dawn is close if you want me to drop you at home this is the time to leave." Stein says.

"Yes, good day Leila" says Pillar.

"Sure... Good day to the both of you."

Leila smiled and extended her hand for them each to shake.

The leaves at the same time that a couple of servants are approaching to Leila.
"Miss we have a room ready for you, would you follow us please?"

"Yes of course."

Leila made sure she'd had all of her things and then followed the servants.
